From Cricbuzz- The Kerala Cricket Association, on Wednesday (August 9), stated that they will support S Sreesanth in his bid to make a comeback, subject to clearance from the BCCI. Earlier this week, the Kerala High Court had ordered the BCCI to lift the life ban imposed on the pace bowler for his alleged involvement in the spot-fixing scandal that broke out during IPL 2013.
“With the domestic season around the corner, KCA would also like to support him and provide an opportunity to train/practice in the pre-season preparatory camps and selection trials at the earliest instance, subject to clearance from the Committee of Administrators/BCCI,” the KCA said in a statement.
“Any disciplinary proceeding or decision taken by the BCCI is independent to any criminal proceeding and has no bearing. The decisions of the BCCI, based on its independent disciplinary action, shall remain unaltered,” BCCI had said.
“I have always believed that miracles can happen. There might be stiff competition for fast bowlers’ spots now. But there was competition even when I made my way into the Indian team. I have always felt that competition gets the best out of me. I just hope that I can do justice to my talent on my comeback,” he had added.
