Mir: That is lapse of planning from our part (not taking the batting powerplay). We thought about it later. She (Dottin) is a class player and has shots all over the ground. It’s a challenge bowling to her, but we enjoy it. We learn from such games. The batting has not been up the mark and I am happy that those (Nahida Khan and Javeria Khan) two got runs. These runs are important for the next game. We have to do well in all three departments to win matches.
Taylor: I am very pleased. Earlier in the tournament, I had been struggling for runs. So good to be back on track as far as runs are concerned. It is about being out there and enjoying my batting, which I have not done in the past games. I told her (Dottin) to get herself in before playing her shots. I felt really good, the concentration was key. When I got out and came in; I said I didn’t see myself getting out today. It is important as you can see from the previous games, where I have not scored runs, we have struggled. Me being out there helped Deandra as well, they all can play around me.
Deandra Dottin, Player of the Match: I would rate it ten out of ten as it is my first century. We had to rebuild in the middle; Taylor and me put on that partnership. The main focus was to bat the full quota of overs. I knew I had to take over after Taylor’s wicket and stepped up the scoring after reaching my fifty. I am pretty confident going into the England game.
