Indian skipper Virat Kohli is on a record-breaking spree and on Saturday – the first day of the third Test against Sri Lanka, on his home ground, in Delhi, he broke one more of them.
The Indian skipper now has 5000+ Test runs, 9,030 ODI runs and 1,956 T20I runs in 105 Test innings, 194 ODI and 51 T20I innings.
This was Kohli’s 52nd international hundred in 350 innings, another fastest for the Delhi dasher breaking Amla’s record again, who did the same in 378 innings.
Coming to bat with 15,961 runs international runs to his name, Kohli scored another century – his 20th in Tests to surpass South Africa’s Hashim Amla to become fastest to score 16,000 international runs across formats.
Kohli took 350 innings to reach the milestone while Amla had taken 363 innings to reach the same. With the century, Kohli also completed 5,000 runs in Test cricket.
