Ben Stokes will be more than ready for IPL: Buttler

IPL 2018 : Ben Stokes is mentally very strong and will easily overcome the difficult times he’s had to endure in the past three months, feels his England and Rajasthan Royals teammate Jos Buttler.

“Ben will be absolutely fine and more than ready for the IPL,” the wicketkeeper-batsman told TOI on Friday (March 23). “He is already back for England in New Zealand and is quite comfortable. He is a huge part of England. It’s great to have him back in the English side as he is one of the best players in the world.”

Buttler in fact, believes that Stokes can go on to repeat his IPL show of last year. “I am expecting some big things from him this time,” he said.

Buttler is also looking forward to playing with young Jofra Archer. He has mostly played against Archer, a Barbadian who has taken up English citizenship, in the T20 leagues. “He is a player for the future,” Buttler said.

“He was the most famous cricketer back then and later I enjoyed listening to his commentary. He has an amazing cricketing brain,” Buttler said.
