Shikhar Dhawan became the second fastest Indian and sixth quickest overall to reach 4000 one day international runs in the third and final ODI of the three-match series against Sri Lanka at Visakhapatnam on Sunday.
Dhawan brought up 4000 one day internationals runs in his 94th innings of his ODI career.
Virat Kohli is the fastest Indian and fourth overall in the list of fastest to 4000 ODI runs when he reached the feat against England way back in 2013 in Ranchi. He reached the landmark in 93 innings of his 96th match.
The list is lead by South African Hashim Amla who also completed his 4000 ODI runs in 2013, that too against India. He reached the feat in 81 innings and 83 matches.
